We interupt this gripping Ducktail part 2 to bring you book tag… I was over on Metz Vox this afternoon briefly… when I was supposed to be working(of course what better time to go and view someones blog)..  and got tagged for this project.

Below are the instructions:

1. Grab your nearest book.

2. Open the book to page 123.

3. Find the fifth sentence.

4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.

5. Tag 5 different people.

Okay so I am home now and I grab my nearest book… open it to page 123.. and try to differentiate where it is a comma and where it is a period.. Crap.. I gotta go get my reading glasses.. (Sucks to get old)..

Okay I got my glasses. Now then let me see….:finds page 123::: Counts down five sentences….ah Hah there it is..

"Lisbeth stopped the phone cords spinning.  Sacred rule #4: Only the guilty trade. Sacred rule # 5: and the opportunists."

Hmmmm … Well there are some words to live by. Hehehehe.

This is from a book I just finished reading…. The Book of Fate by Brad Metzer.

Well now who can I tag with this.. I think Metsie, Lbreeze, Tammie, Russia and Fred.

Now then get to work ladies… I shall return after a short interlude to finish my duck tail. but first the sheep are calling me because they say it is waayy past dinner time… BAHHHHHHHD Annie.

heehee, I just finished that book in December.

2. Metz - January 14, 2008

🙂 Yay! Very good M'dear. I liked the randomness of yours way better than mine. Although I will admit, for a kid's book, taken out of context those sentences sound rather risque. LOL

3. Cap'n Stephel - January 14, 2008

LOL! Metz! ::shakes head and snickers::

4. Tammie - January 14, 2008

I was already tagged by LaidoutinLavender! Oh, you tags me again???

5. Annie - January 14, 2008

Oops sorry Tammie you can bow out if you so desire ; )

6. Annie - January 14, 2008

Hehehe I was laughing because mine went sort of with yours. Snicker.

7. Annie - January 14, 2008

LOL I just finished it this weekend and had the book at my desk because I reviewed it for everyone on cute talk. It was a really fun read. Very exciting at the end..

8. Tammie - January 14, 2008

How about letting the one I did count for two? Fair enough?

9. Annie - January 14, 2008

Ooh I be tagged. I don't know if I have five people to tag when I do mine though, all the people I know have done it already!

BWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA ROFLmeow!Lemme see…………..Nearest book…….. the user's manual for my new camera………… only has 108 pages (like that's not enough? never trust any device whose manual is bigger than the thing itself!)……….. Next!Hmmmmmmm……… a full-page map with a very short caption. Next!Uhhhhhhhh……….. never mind. I wouldn't want my mom to know I even OWN a book like that. Next!Errrrrr…… Greek New Testament. I can't type in Greek. Next!Wotthe……… this book doesn't have pages – it's a scroll. I didn't know they had those any more. No words on it either. Waitaminnit, that's a roll of paper towels. Next! Now this is more like it. Lemme see……1…..2…..3…..4…..5…….."That was adequate for building houses and garden walls, using as oven stones, and fashioning into canoe anchors and food pounders and other crude tools, but coarse-grained basalt yielded only inferior adzes."Fortunately, that deficiency was spectacularly remedied on Pitcairn, the much smaller (2-1/2 square miles) and steeper extinct volcanic island lying 300 miles southeast of Mangareva. Imagine the excitement when the first canoeload of Mangarevans discovered Pitcairn after several days' travel on open ocean, landed at its only feasible beach, scrambled up the steep slopes, and came upon Down Rope Quarry, Southeast Polynesia's sole useable lode of volcanic glass, whose flakes could serve as sharp tools for fine cutting tasks – the Polynesian equivalent of scissors and scalpels."—–Jared Diamond, Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or SucceedIt was either that or HTML 4.0: The Definitive Guide. OK, I'm a geek. And the buildup was entirely made up, except for the part about the camera manual being the nearest book. OK, I'm a joker too, and a bad one at that. So sue me.:-)I'm pretty negligent about blogging, so……………I'm taking this to E-MAIL!!!!!!!!1!!kthxbai

p.s. I actually do own all the "books" I just mentioned. But they're not within physical reach at the moment. >^..^<

14. little miao - January 15, 2008

Yes, it really was an exciting book. nice and fast-paced.

15. Annie - January 15, 2008

LOL your killing me here… I am at work and not supposed to be doing this.. HEheheheh. I agree never trust a manuel that is bigger than the object it is supposed to tell you how to use and looking at it the other way around perhaps if an item requires a manuel larger than itself it shouldn't be used. ; )

=LOL= So far I've gotten back excerpts from:A font reference guide (from my kid bro the graphic designer)A medical dictionary (from my sis the nurse)One of Lillian Jackson Braun's "The Cat Who…" books (from my mom, who only sent me one sentence, so I told her she has to do it over)A slave narrative from an American history book (from my niece the government major, who also only gave me one sentence the first time and I got on her case too, so she did it over)There's more in my mailbox but I haven't gotten to them yet.

17. Annie - January 15, 2008
